Anything to help me convince others to try out the game and stick around once they do so. If players are to be motivated to keep playing then maybe add a few zeroes to the rewards (20k would be nice and halfway to a raider unlock or weapon build) to make it more rewarding/enticing. Gaining barely 2k+ gold when leveling is not much of a reward more of a slap in the face. As a newbie myself, I had the easiest time playing Konstantine and the mad doctor-guy with the difficult name to pronounce.Ī benefit of a training area would also allow people (vets and newbies alike) to test out a raider's moves and abilities BEFORE spending the ~40k+ gold to unlock them. I look forward to seeing that 'training lobby' put into a future update at some point )Īnd yes I agree that Harec's skillset is far too advanced/situational for newbies to easily grasp if they don't have a controlled no-fail environment (training area) to test it out in. Many developers react negatively to constructive feedback (and criticism) so it is awesome to hear from a dev team that understands player feedback as a postive aspect of the development process! Thank you for the well-written and thoughtful response! Much appreciated! In any case, I am taking this discussion to the Design team for their consideration. ![]() New players should play with more accessible character, like Konstantine or Hans, unlocking Solo missions with them to use as testing fields. We are reviewing the way the characters are presented to new players to avoid this kind of situations -Harec was initially the main Raiders' character, when he is a rather complex, advanced character. As said before, unlocking missions to be played in solo wouldn't be too hard to those playing the game often. It is not our intention though to monetizise the Solo mode. As a F2P game, Spacelords includes monetization options. Originally posted by José Herráez:Thanks. What would have been better is that the single player mode is what you have at the start of spacelords (raiders of the broken planet was already a way cooler name)!!! It's also how you can practice the games mechanics a levels without hampering other peoples progress (especially when you play antagonist).Įdit: Also if your game crashed or you internet fails on you mid match, you run the risk of being penalised unfairly, which wouldnt be a problem if the Dev's made single player mode availabe RIGHT FROM THE START when the remade this "game" in to spacelords. This is the major problem, because its locked behind a "Ranking" wall, which is always a REALLY BAD IDEA! if you want to play solo you must have a perfect score of 5 stars in the multiplayer version of the mission and its called practice mode (really! whats the point of it if you need five stars to unlock it, doesnt that mean you are skilled already!?!?!). However the thing that really bothers me is it has NO single player mode available from the start. Like every single game in todays market it is born with common cancers known as "grind" and "RNG". I have finally played a match in spacelords, and I can see why this game is getting negative reviews.
